Glad you enjoyed it Lady Constance. Since Jack has never had a female friend before he is intrigued and accepts her invitation. Lady Mary loves and finds rakesrogues and libertines fascinating that’s why she takes Jack as her project with her matchmaking. As it stands, the plot is very slow moving and a lot of the relationship between Jack and Mary is told as they observe each other but do not interact.
And therein lies hrart rub. Book one was a bit light with easily overcome problems but this is so deep and true I could not leave. If set in modern time this would work just as well. The two have no idea that they were meant for each other but that becomes clear for the re Beautifully written and featuring two very human characters hedn Mary and Jack, this Regency romance also had a darker side.
I always enjoy a good misunderstanding!
Candice Hern is the award-winning, bestselling author of historical romance novels set during the English Regency period. Wrong conclusions, most of the time. But, all in all, its a good book and the title is accurate, since Jack has a huge change of heart.

This book sounds like fun.
