I was thinking about last years Fair Isle post, and almost posted a short story that was inspired by a visit I made to the island over 30 years ago when I was researching my thesis. In the meantime, until that book comes out, read this. Inshe was awarded a two-year term as the official author of the state of New York.
This was an intriguing book The classic book about the clothes we wear and what they say about us. Also, a lot of it just seemed to be personal opinions, e. After finishing college, Lurie worked as an editorial assistant for Oxford University Press in New York, wanting to make a living as a writer. It was interesting in spots, but it’s obviously, since it was written in outdated.

Her novel “The Truth About Lorin Jones” has a lot of insights into the art world and is very revealing of character through clothes, come to think of it so I can imagine her take on fashion would be fascinating.
